As a member of the family, tell us about how you are involved with the family business.
Marty is my father, and I started coming to work with him every Saturday starting at four years old. I remember typing on his typewriter and filling the supply closet with paper. I then worked as a summer intern while in high school, received a degree in business management, and returned full time in 2012. Now I am the collections manager and service contract coordinator, in addition to planning all our social events!
What is your superpower?
I am known as the Chief Wrangler – I rock at getting people to do stuff!
How would you describe ENCON?
It’s all about loyalty and commitment. We grew up around that – my father gave everyone his trust and there was a mutual respect. I really admire the good-hearted and down-to-earth person my father is – he raised us to follow these values.
What do you like best about the ENCON company culture?
We participate in many charities and hold fundraisers every year. I was co-chair at our Stronger Together Gala for the YMCA Monmouth County which was an amazing event. I organize family events at iPlay America or Monmouth Park Racetrack, as well as customer appreciation dinners and numerous golf outings every year. We love our employees, so we have a holiday party with all the employees and spouses, after work cocktails and “Pizza Fridays” that really promote team building. It’s a very special place to work and be a part of.
Where can we find you on the weekends?
I love cooking, scrapbooking, and spending time at our family house in Lake George.
What is the best thing about working at ENCON?
My favorite thing is that we are keeping family continuity. My daughter and son both work here too! Marty is my father so ENCON is in my blood.
