When did you start working at ENCON?
I was hired full-time in 2003 as a purchasing agent. I became a service manager in 2009.
What inspired you to work in this industry?
When driving at ENCON for the summer, it gave me a chance to see how many different things the company was doing – sheet metal, service, controls, replacements, and more. It gave me a chance to meet all the field technicians, see firsthand how complex the commercial industry was, and the talent that ENCON had at the time. I saw great potential for the company to grow.
What words would you use to describe ENCON?
Integrity, honesty, intelligent, creative, and passionate
Did you have a mentor in your career?
Bobby Kuldanek (now head of construction) was my mentor. He trained me from Day 1 and I observed not only what he did but how he interacted with others. I saw how important relationships and communication were in a management position and instantly put my focus on building those relationships.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
My two boys – they play sports year-round so I am going to practices and games just about every day of the week and love every minute of it. When I do have free time, I like to play golf and work on home improvements.
What do you see for the future of ENCON?
Getting to a point where we are creating new job opportunities and hiring from within to fill these positions.
